PLEASANT GROVE, Utah, Dec. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — For years, New Life for Haiti has worked hard to raise money to meet the needs of Haitians in Grande Anse River Valley, and this year’s gala was no exception. On October 24, 2015, this nonprofit organization held their tenth annual Beyond the River celebration. The gala served as a fundraiser for the many New Life for Haiti projects designed to benefit the people of Haiti. The doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation was pleased to donate products for the gala’s auction and support this important cause. The money made at the auction went towards furthering the impact that New Life for Haiti makes.
New Life for Haiti is continually creating projects that cater to the needs of children and families in the Grande Anse River Valley. One of the biggest issues facing the people in this valley is the need for clean drinking water. Despite the multiple water springs in the area, the water is often contaminated, spreading viruses and threatening health. New Life for Haiti is setting out to solve this problem by surveying the area’s water supply so that they can provide clean water and help the locals to avoid waterborne viruses.
Another project that they have been facilitating is the yearly medical clinic. Because this valley has almost no access to medical care, the New Life for Haiti medical team makes a week-long trip to Haiti to give medical attention to individuals in need. They have helped thousands of patients over the years fight viruses, diseases, and many other ailments such as diabetes, blood pressure issues, skin disorders, and asthma.
New Life for Haiti has also increased the amount of Haitian children getting educations by building schools in their mountainous villages. Their efforts have resulted in five new schools which has allowed 800 new students to receive educations.
There is no doubt that New Life for Haiti is making a difference and enriching lives in Haiti. To learn more about New Life for Haiti or how to donate, visit their website.
