XANGO Begins Operations in South Korea

LEHI, UT–(Marketwired – December 08, 2016) – XANGO, a global wellness and direct sales leader, began operations in South Korea with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open a new office in Seoul. Hundreds gathered to witness the ribbon cutting with anticipation of a grand opening launch event planned for the first part of 2017.

XANGO products are approved for sale in South Korea, the company is enrolling new distributors and a fully-staffed office is in place to support market growth.

“We have been planning for some time now to enter South Korea, given the growth we are experiencing in markets across Asia,” said XANGO Founder Joe Morton. “With official Korean government approval to do business, our in-country staff is working with distributor teams and establishing our market presence. We anticipate great success in South Korea, a nation with a strong affinity for natural products and a robust direct selling economy.”

XANGO offers leading products, featuring mangosteen, to address consumer demand for natural approaches to address the effects of aging. Currently, XANGO® Reserve, Eleviv™and XANGO Aeris™ 2 Minute Miracle Gel are approved for sale and purchase in South Korea through any of the company’s independent distributors and at the Korean will call.

Already in the first week of operations, according to Morton, thousands of people have made orders and started sharing XANGO products with others. Future distributor leaders are eagerly working to build their organizations with excitement about the opportunity provided with the XANGO compensation plan. “Potential new distributors are inquiring daily to begin building their XANGO businesses,” he said.

To support current and projected growth, XANGO has hired South Korean direct selling veteran James Noh as General Manager. Noh is supported by a staffed office with a trained call center, will-call services and meeting spaces in the new office.

“South Korea has always been one of the strongest direct sales markets in the world and we believe XANGO Korea will quickly gain the attention of many of our nation’s best networkers,” said Noh. “XANGO combines a legacy of category-creating brands, a supportive culture, and the industry’s most generous compensation plan to help meet the South Korean people’s desires for a better lifestyle. XANGO is poised for great success here.”

The business opportunity for direct sellers joining XANGO in South Korea is strong. With a population of 50 million, South Korea has grown to become a top five global market for direct selling. According to the World Federation of the Direct Selling Association, nearly seven million South Koreans were direct sellers in 2015, generating almost $17 billion in retail sales, with a 13 percent year-over-year growth percentage. This year, the dynamic South Korean economy continues to outpace expectations, with GDP growth of nearly 3.5 percent. Economists predict continued strong growth through 2020.

XANGO’s opening for business in South Korea is an important step in the company’s strategy to expand into fast-growing, dynamic Asian markets. Success in nearby Taiwan and other countries provides momentum for future market openings in the region in the years to come.

XANGO Chairman and CEO Aaron Garrity, who spoke to guests at last week’s office-opening event alongside Noh, officially announced the opening and shared a vision for the future of XANGO in South Korea and nearby areas.

“South Korea is a great market that is full of people with an entrepreneurial mindset looking to improve their standard of living and enjoy healthy lifestyles,” said Garrity. “We’re excited to bring our global brand to the market and to continue our expansion throughout Asia.”
