Third annual Rock-A-Thon took place to raise funds for Family Advocates

Scentsy gave new meaning to the term rock out. It was the third annual Rock-A-Thon. Volunteers kept 70 rocking chairs rocking while holding signs that said, “honk if you rock,” for twelve consecutive hours at Scentsy Commons along Eagle Road.

“My gosh, we are so honored to be a part of the Scentsy Rock-A-Thon this year. Scentsy has decided to put on this annual event to raise funds and awareness for a non-profit. This year Family Advocates is a beneficiary. So they have all of their employees, we have volunteers out here and community members stop by and every minute they rock, Scentsy will donate five dollars to family advocates,” said Jaime Hansen, Executive Director of Family Advocates.

Scentsy donated five dollars per minute, per chair for the first 10 hours to raise money for Family Advocates, a local non-profit organization working to strengthen families and keep kids safe by empowering everyday people. Donations for new-baby boxes were also collected. This year, the theme was superheroes so volunteers and Scentsy employees showed up in costume to show their support.
